NEW ENGLAND MARTIAL ARTS CENTRE (NEMAC)
The New England Martial Arts Centre (NEMAC) was established by Anthony Kelly in 1990.
Anthony’s martial arts style empathises; lightning fast punches and blocks, stable stances, powerful kicks, trapping, grappling, throwing, wrestling and the understanding of striking points. Anthony designed his style to create a well developed martial artist; one who is not just physically fit, but mentally prepared for life’s battles and to gear them to have a good understanding of realist self-defence. Anthony’s training syllabus incorporates the most effective techniques from all styles of martial arts to create a well-rounded martial artist. Both unarmed and armed techniques are practiced as well as many traditional forms including weapons training such as the Spear, Staff, Broadsword and Straight sword. Anthony has studied many styles of martial arts and has achieved black belts in 21 styles. Anthony has achieved the Guinness World Record for "the most Coaches qualification's in multiple sports". He has been asked by many TV shows around the World to demonstrate his incredible skills that he has gained from his training. TV shows like Guinness World Records major shows, MythBusters, Stan Lees Superhumans, Extraordinary humans, ect challenged him to not only demonstrate how Martial Arts can improve one’s skills, but also to explain how his very unique training can help a normal person to transform their ability to achieve advancement in one's capability.
NEMAC motto is ‘practice is the key to success’
The level system of the New England Martial Arts Centre is tested on technique (the higher the belt, the more complex the skills). The levels are white, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown, black, red (Instructor), silver (Advanced Instructor) and gold (Master). In general it takes 30 + lessons to attain each level depending upon the student’s abilities.
